St. Saturnin-Lès-Apt
St. Saturnin-Lès-Apt is one of the little
hidden gems that make Provence so
special.  The pace of life here is unhurried,
as befits a village with close to 1,000 years
of history.  And best of all, it's unspoiled -
despite it's location in one of the most
popular tourist areas in the south of France.

Spend a few hours strolling around the
village - try some delights at our wonderful
bakery - sit at one of the three cafés and do
some people-watching - perhaps a game of
pétanque - and definitely not to be missed, a
walk up to the castle ruins above the village
for some of the best views to be found
anywhere in the Luberon.

We are lucky to have a number of excellent
restaurants, a well-stocked grocery store,
butcher - in short, all life's essentials.  And
the market on Tuesday morning is well
worth a visit - small and quaint - a different
experience compared to the huge and
boisterous markets in Apt or
Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoiled by the
many miles of hiking and biking trails in the
surrounding hills.  Or just take a walk along
the back-country roads through vineyards
and orchards and fields of lavender.

St. Saturnin - an authentic, peaceful and
very beautiful bit of Provence.
